“Allah’s Messenger (P.B.U.H) used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time.†(Muslim)
The month of Ramazan has supremacy over all the other months of the year. In the same way, its last ten days or Ashra are higher in rank compared to the earlier Ashras. The most important part of these 10 days (Days of Refuge), are because of Laylatul Qadr – also known as The Night of Power that falls on these days.
We should do few of these things to make the most of the last ashra of Ramazan :
1. Observe Itikaf:
The greatest Sunnah of last ten days of Ramazan is the observance of Itikaf. It is in the last ten days of Ramazan that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would go into seclusion and spend the days and nights in prayer, and worship of Allah Almighty with minimal human interaction or intrusion. In Itikaf all the time that a Muslim spends is in worship of Allah Almighty to ensure that He grants forgiveness and blessings to the seeker. No one knows whether they will live to see the next Ramadan, therefore, the last ten days should be spent in the best way possible.
2. Recite Quran:
Another thing that a Muslim should do in the last ten days of Ramazan is to recite Quran abundantly. The recitation of Quran brings numerous rewards and blessings for every single word. However, a Muslim should also try to learn Quran with translation, as it’s the best way to one’s guidance.
3. Increase Worship Duration:
Voluntary prayers or nawafils are another great opportunity to grasp when it comes to observing the last ten days of Ramazan, and making the most out of them. Ramazan is extremely important and holy for this very reason, we must try offering as many and as much nawafils as possible, each one of them brings countless rewards and blessings.
Do not miss out on taravi’s, they say that prayer is the food for your soul.Make the most of this wonderful month of Ramazan and be one of the lucky ones who fall under the list of the good deeds of Allah subhanahu’wa taala.
